We reserved a single room plus an extra bed and we got a double room for the same price.
The hotel was nice and location in the city not bad but nothing special. The problem is with the town. Unless you want to hike, there is nothing else you can do or see. Odda is a small industrial town.

No nonsense hotel, offering what a hotel needs to offer, i.e decent bed, shower, breakfast. Nothing more, nothing less. That and free coffee in the lobby.
The outside facade of the hotel is not appealing.

Great location and friendly staff. the hotel is located near the water and close to shops and restaurants. the staff were very accommodating to our requests. the parking is good and free. Our room had wonderful views and was quite spacious. It's a perfect location for a hike and multiple hikes are nearby.
There is some noise from the road if your room faces the fjord. Parking might be a challenge in busier seasons.

Free and convenient parking and the breakfast was good.
The mattresses were in very poor shape, you could feel the broken springs. The bathtub we considered dangerous, its floor was slippery and there were no supprt handles. The view from the 3 rd floor was good but would have been much better with clean windows. The two safety exits on the third floor were locked - reception informed they would automatically open when the fire alarm went off. The lights were not working in our corridor, they were later fixed. Quite a bit of street noise when the pubs closed. The price was NOK 1320.- (Euro 170.-) was excessive for the level this hotel provided.

The bar in the hotel was a great spot to unwind after a long day exploring the city. The breakfast was also quite nice and helped get our day started. Another advantage was the location- close to public transport and many tourist attractions.
Our room was not up to our expectations with dirty floors and a bathroom that was barely functional. The staff seemed uninterested in assisting us with any concerns and were quite rude.
